How to set up Row Level Security profiles and invite staff with restricted permissions.
Internal vs. External Roles
GuruduX enforces strict permission boundaries using database Row Level Security (RLS). There are two types of users:
- Internal Roles (
admin,manager,hr,employee): These roles have access to the CRM backend. They can only be assigned to email addresses that match your Verified Domain names. - External Roles (
client): These users only have access to the front-facing Client Portal.
Inviting Team Members
- Go to Admin Console > Settings and select the Team tab.
- Enter the team member's email address and select their Role.
- If their email does not match a verified domain, the system will block you from assigning them an internal role.
